Hi there!!!

About me and what you will get on this website!!!!

Hello valued readers!! Most of you likely know me already, but for those who don't my name is Murphy Horning and I am a student at Grandview Heights High School just outside of Columbus (I live about two miles from Nationwide Arena and three from The 'Shoe, but I digress). As someone with an interest in sports broadcasting/writing, I have to start somewhere, and why not with this site! Opinions expressed on this website will be mine, and they should be adopted by you immediately (no they shouldn't).

Things I love: Family, friends, sports, the USA, Ohio, Grandview, GHHS, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns, US History and current events, etc.

Things I hate: Watching myself talk on video, your fantasy football team, bunting, prevent defense, the trapezoid rule in the NHL, ties in sports, Meeshigan, Steelers, Detroit sports, Pittsburgh sports, the SEC, and oil companies (as in New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox).

Anyways my site will have a focus on sports and my favorite teams. Being from Columbus, everything for me started with Ohio State football and basketball, and those were my first loyalties along with the Columbus Blue Jackets, with whom my family have been partial season ticket holders for the CBJ since the 2007-2008 season.

I also am into the dark and dangerous world of Cleveland sports as well (blame my Dad). Of the three Cleveland teams, the Indians are the team I am most devoted to, but the Browns would be a close second. When I do care about the NBA, I am no doubt a Cavaliers fan (but with so little parity in The Association, I couldn't care less during the regular season, but this recent championship was special nonetheless).

So you might ask, why the title "internet-garbage.blogspot.com"? First and foremost, I am just some high schooler in suburban Columbus, Ohio pretending to be a real sportswriter. And I also figure that when I overreact to a Tribe loss on the third Tuesday in April, about 2 people will read this site. But for those who are looking at this, thanks for reading!! Go Bucks, Jackets, Tribe and Browns! (And one more thing: I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR FANTASY TEAM!!!)
